Designing/Merchandising is a funny thing. At times you feel you have something that is going to knock everyone’s socks off and for some reason or another the design or product doesn’t even get noticed. Then sometimes you come across a design that seems to get a reaction out of just about everyone and then when you are asked for more of the same you end up scratching your head. This has been the case with the “Monegro” Louis Alexander Watch. In December of 2010 the “Monegro-Sturm” was introduced and it became an instant hit but the clients purchasing that particular style were a pretty specific group, mostly military and police personnel that gave the watch a sort of “solemn” acceptance. That would have been enough to satisfy a larger company but the idea is to present a product that would be welcomed across a wider demand and the challenge became to develop the Monegro’s design into a more contemporary and welcomed format without increasing production costs.
Surprisingly with a few changes that actually economized the watch the design objective was reached and the Monegro “Sun” edition was born. I hope that you will find this watch as exciting as I have.
The Monegro "Sun" Diver's Chronograph has a rugged no-nonsense look accentuated by a EZ-Grip-One-Way-Rotation Time Elapse Bezel with high polished stainless steel numerals. An attractive Carbon dial with large easy to read luminous hands and hour markers and Yellow color accents is protected by a high impact scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a Quartz Ronda Startech Swiss movement Cal 5040.D that features Date, Seconds, 10th of seconds, and a timer that activates a 30 minute Marker.
Case specific rubber strap with deployment release buckle attached to PVD coated case with protective lugs to secure the screw-in crown. Water resistant to an amazing 660 ft!
Like all my Louis Alexander watches, this watch is made of all Swiss Parts and assembled by American Watchmakers. The movement is warrantied for three (3) years Watch Dimensions: 42mm Diameter (9-3), 13mmThick, 4.5 oz.
